Rekordu for phone shops

Point of sale for phone shops in Ghana.

Rekordu is a POS built around the IMEI, not the barcode. Every handset is tracked from the day it enters stock to the day it is sold, refunded or repaired, across every branch.

Why a general POS falls short

Phones are not tins of milk.

GENERAL POS
REKORDU
Counts a product code
Tracks every handset by its IMEI
Knows you sold “an A14”
Knows which A14, to whom, by which staff member
No record of trade-ins
Records each trade-in with the seller's ID
Stops when the data does
Keeps selling offline, then syncs
Prints a till slip
Sends a WhatsApp receipt with the IMEI and warranty

What it does

Built for the
phone counter.

IMEI on every sale
Staff scan the IMEI label with the phone camera. Rekordu checks the 15 digits and that the handset is in stock before the sale goes through.
Stolen and lost list
Every IMEI is checked against a list of phones reported stolen or lost by Rekordu shops. It says why a phone is flagged, never which shop reported it.
Trade-ins with ID
When you buy a phone in or take one as part-payment, Rekordu records the seller's ID, such as a Ghana Card number, so the handset can be traced later.
Warranty and repairs
Warranty runs from the original sale, so it is one search away. Repair tickets follow a device from booking in to collection.
Branches and staff
Each sale is tied to a branch and a staff member. The owner sees every branch's sales and stock from one account.
Cash, MoMo and card
Record cash, mobile money and card payments, and split one sale across more than one.
Receipts that travel
Send the buyer a WhatsApp receipt with a link to the full record, or print on a Bluetooth or USB receipt printer.
Works offline
When the connection drops, staff keep selling. Sales are saved on the device and sync when it comes back.

Phone shop questions

Shop owners ask.

What is the best POS for a phone shop?

One that tracks each handset by IMEI rather than by product code, records trade-ins and warranties, and keeps working when the internet drops. Rekordu was built for phone shops in Ghana around exactly those needs.

Do I need special hardware to use Rekordu?

No. Rekordu runs in the browser on the phones, tablets and computers you already have, and staff scan IMEIs with the phone camera. A Bluetooth or USB receipt printer is optional.

Can Rekordu manage accessories as well as phones?

Yes. Handsets are tracked one by one by IMEI, and accessories such as chargers, cases and earphones are kept as counted stock.

Can my staff steal or hide sales?

Every sale, refund and stock change is recorded against the staff member who made it, and the owner sees them live. A sale cannot quietly disappear the way a notebook page can.

Does Rekordu work in French?

Yes. The app is available in English and French.

Close the notebook. Keep the record.
